- Mireya Espinoza is an Enrolled Agent (EA), tax and accounting professional, and business owner with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and businesses navigate their tax and financial responsibilities. Mireya is the proprietor of EMG Professional Services I, a tax and accounting firm serving more than 1,500 individual clients and over 100 business entities. Through her firm, she provides a wide range of services, including income tax preparation, corporate and business tax preparation, IRS representation, bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, sales tax compliance, tax planning, and business formation. As an Enrolled Agent since November 2018, Mireya is federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. She regularly assists clients with IRS matters, audits, tax compliance, and other tax-related issues. She also helps individuals and businesses comply with the requirements of the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) and the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA). Mireya earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business from San José State University in December 1999. Her career in accounting began while she was attending college, and over the past 25 years she has developed extensive experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, accounting records analysis, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Mireya's professional success is rooted not only in her technical knowledge but also in the relationships she builds with the people she serves. She believes that trust, communication, and genuine personal connections are the foundation of a successful business. Her clients are more than customers—they are people she cares about and relationships she works hard to maintain for many years. Mireya's personal journey has also shaped her approach to business and community. She moved from Mexico City to the San José area at the age of 15 and began building her professional career while pursuing her education. Her experiences have given her a strong appreciation for hard work, opportunity, perseverance, and giving back to the community. Outside of her professional life, Mireya enjoys soccer, salsa dancing, spending time with her family, and building relationships with other professionals and business owners. She is passionate about connecting people, supporting businesses, and contributing to the community she has called home for many years.
